I am not a piano store. I’m a guy with a shop. I find used performance level pianos that have the potential for greatness and make them great. Then I offer them to people who are looking for a serious piano — like you!
Serious Pianos
SERIOUS DIFFERENCE
I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with some of the world’s great concert pianists in my 25 years as the concert technician for the Utah Symphony and as the concert technician for several universities and music festivals. The things I have learned maintaining world class instruments for these demanding pianists directly benefits the piano I prepare for you.
Much of my Steinway experience comes through 20 years as the head technician for Daynes Music in Salt Lake City, one of the most prolific Steinway dealers in the country. I have received training at the Steinway factory in New York City. I service hundreds of Steinway pianos yearly in concert venues and private homes. I have over 75 Steinway D concert pianos on my service roster, many in private homes.
Although much of my time is spent rebuilding and reconditioning Steinway pianos, I think of myself mainly as a concert technician, adjusting moving parts in the piano to work optimally, and adjusting the tone and tuning of the piano to bring it to its full potential.
Few piano rebuilders are also concert technicians. That is where I stand out.
